Q
How much does the sofware cost
and what is included?
An
annual subscription to Conscious Investor is only US$4900.
This price includes:
- the full software on your computer (or your work and home computers),
- access
to daily financial market data feed for either the
USA or Canada. For each additional markets,
the cost is US$900
- unlimited
technical support, live training sessions, online
training materials and instructional videos,
- and
much more.
Q
Why is there an on-going subscription
fee rather than a once-off upfront payment?
Conscious
Investing pays data fees including royalties for every
user. To get this data as an individual would cost over
$30,000 per year. Furthermore, training and technical
support are on-going and we are constantly adding new
value added services to assist our clients.
Q What
is the minimum I should have to invest before subscribing
to Conscious Investor?
Conscious
Investor is not just a piece of software. It is a total
approach to investing with a tremendous amount of education
and support. One of our subscribers referred to it as
a “min-masters degree” in investing.
If
someone is serious about investing in the stock market,
then we believe that a subscription to Conscious Investor
should be your first investment. It is not a question
of whether you have $1,000 to invest or $1,000,000.
What is important is your intention to understand the
market and to benefit from this common sense, practical
approach based on the proven methods of Warren Buffett.
Also,
if you are not yet financially self-sufficient, we encourage
you to start a regular program of saving along with
a subscription to Conscious Investor.
Q
What is the cost in subsequent
years? Do I need to subscribe in subsequent years?
When
you renew you get a discount of 25% off the current
one-year subscription price.
You
do not have to renew for subsequent years; people renew
because they see that it adds value to their investing
many times above the renewal cost.
Q What
markets do you offer?
We
offer the US, Candian and Australian markets. In the
US, the Conscious Investor database covers all USA companies
listed on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), the New
York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the NASDAQ. This is almost
6,000 companies. In Canada we cover around 3,000 companies
on the Toronto and Toronto Venture exchange. In Australia
we cover all companies traded on the Australian Stock
Exchange (ASX). This can save you literally hours in
research time and over $30,000 per year in data costs.
Q
Is a subscription to Conscious
Investor tax deductible?
Generally
a subscription to Conscious Investor is a tax deduction
against income from your investment activities. For
users in the U.S. its cost is a tax deduction under
IRS Code Section 212(1), (2) as an investment expense.
In each case, please consult your tax advisor or taxation
office for confirmation.
Q Do
you have any plans to modify the software to include options
trading?
There
are no plans to modify the software for options trading.
There are many products in the marketplace already filling
this niche. We are filling another niche - Buffett style
investing - which we feel has been completely overlooked
by serious software producers to date. You can use the
knowledge gained from Conscious Investor to assist with
options trading. Many of our clients do this successfully.
